Frankfurt Airport Parking
It is permitted to park very briefly (max. 15 minutes) outside the terminal buildings to either collect or drop off passengers. This short parking comes at a fee though.
For long term parking at Frankfurt Airport – anything from 7 days onwards – it is advisable to book well in advance, as great savings can be made. Up to 53% can be saved on the normal parking fee by going online and reserving a space in advance. Payment can be made online by credit card; VISA and MasterCard are both accepted.
Online “Early Bird” rates apply to motorists who are looking for long and short-term parking at Frankfurt Airport from 7 days to a maximum of 29 days. Such places must be booked at least 4 weeks in advance to enjoy the reduced fees. Booking can even be made up to 9 months prior to the day of arrival. This type of parking is aimed at “vacationers” or “holidaymakers”, who usually know well in advance, when they are going to travel to Frankfurt.
The parking spaces are located directly by the terminals; at Terminal 1 this is handled by parking lots P2 and P3, at Terminal 2 this applies to underground car parks P8 and P9. The pre-paid parking ticket is sent to motorists by mail a few days after the booking has been accepted online. Motorists than use any free space upon arrival at the terminal’s parking facilities.
Frankfurt Airport parking for short-term requirements is handled in car parks P2 and P3 at Terminal 1 and in parking lots P8 and P9 at Terminal 2. Parking in these facilities for up to 30 minutes will cost EUR 2.50 and EUR 4.00 for up to one hour. Every additional hour after that will also be charged at EUR 4.00.
It is possible to park up to 21 days/3 weeks in these car parks. Frankfurt Airport parking will charge EUR 175.00 for this period in the short-term parking facilities at the terminals. It is possible to walk over to the terminals from the underground parking lots. Business parking gives direct access to Terminal 1 and the check-in areas. Here parking is flexible without a binding agreement having to be entered into. The parking spaces for business travellers are also extra wide for easier parking.
Motorists seeking business parking facilities should use either motorways A3, A5 or the Bundesstrasse (dual carriageway) B43 and follow the signposting to Terminal 1. Upon arrival they should follow the signs to P Business. Up to 60 minutes of parking will be charged at EUR 5.00 and every additional hour will cost EUR 5.00 also. The maximum parking fee for one day is EUR 29.00 and up to one week of parking in the P Business zone will cost EUR 145.00.
Special parking spaces for long and short-term parking at Frankfurt Airport are also available. Terminal 1 has disabled spaces available at P4 in row 225 and at Terminal 2 disabled drivers will find designated parking spaces at P8, level U4, in row U417.
Women drivers are also offered more secure parking facilities at Terminal 1. At P1 and P5, rows 126 and 326 respectively are safer to park in and at car park P4 the row 225 has been designated for women motorists’ parking.
Motorcycle parking spaces at Frankfurt Airport can be found at a parking lot in front of the arrivals level at Terminal 1, at the very end of section C, where motorcycles can be parked for free.
